I love working with different creative mediums and creating a range of artwork using pencil, charcoal, fine-liner pens, watercolour, oil and digital software such as Procreate, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator for digital illustration. My Process
I’ve created a general step-by-step process that I work to for creating paintings and illustrations. This is by no means a rigid process and I am always happy to tailor it to your specific requirements.
Step 1.
Discussing the details
The first step of the process is to discuss the details of the project over the phone/zoom/email to gain a full understanding of what is it you’re looking to have created in terms of subject matter, the size, style, colour palette, timescales for delivery etc covering all aspects of the project so I know exactly what you’re looking to achieve.
Step 2.
The quote
Once I know the full depth and breadth of the project, I’ll provide you with a comprehensive quote. If approved and if we have not worked together before, I usually request a deposit upfront (up to 50%) before beginning the project.
Step 3.
Creating the artwork
Once the quote has been approved, I will begin creating the artwork (and depending on the project and brief, I may need photo references from yourself in order to create the piece). Once I’ve finished the artwork I will send you an image of the project to review. Depending on the amendment allowances outlined in the quote, I will make any minor adjustments as needed and send you a final image of the artwork to review and approve.
Step 4.
Artwork complete!
Once the artwork has been approved, I will request the remaining payment for the project to be processed. Once the payment has been received, I will then organise the delivery of your final piece (this is again, project dependent).
